Spalding clinched the Women’s East League Division Two North West title with two games to spare.
The home side set the tone early, finding the net after just five minutes. A well-worked short corner routine saw Evie Maltby fire the ball home.
Spalding continued to pile on the pressure, and their persistence paid off when Laura Graves’ strike rebounded for Honor Moore to slot home.
Spalding’s third came from Graves, who hit a superb reverse strike from the top of the D.
Spalding ended the first half with a fourth goal coming from a great pass by Karen Timby to Ellie Holland, who played it to the back post for Moore to tap in her second.
At the other end, Spalding’s defence remained rock solid, with goalkeeper Freya Lee keeping a well-deserved clean sheet to cap a dominant team performance.
The player of the match honours were shared by Maltby, Lee and Jess Ball.

Spalding have just two games remaining to chalk up their first Division Two North West win of the season.
Despite being winless and marooned at the foot of the standings, they displayed strong play throughout and were unlucky not to add to their two-point tally.
An exciting encounter, full of intensity and determination from both sides saw Cambridge take the lead.
Spalding responded quickly and from a short corner, player of the match Grace Hodgett took responsibility for the set piece and fired the ball into the net to make it 1-1 at half-time.
Cambridge South opened a two-goal lead after the break despite the efforts of Char Burt in goal.
Erin McMurray, Lauren Spenceley and Kate Amess pushed hard for a way back but were unable to break down the Cambridge defence.

Spalding came back fighting with some brilliant play in midfield and Eloise Doughty tapped in the equaliser.
Newmarket hit back to gain the half-time advantage but after a pep talk from Zoe Moore and Charlotte Morris, Spalding returned with more energy and determination.

That was as good as it got for the hosts though, with Newmarket scoring two more to run out three-goal winners.
