Gallery – Army bomb disposal unit in Holbeach St Marks after weapons discovery

A man has been arrested on firearms charges and the Army in attendance after weapons were found at an address just outside Holbeach St Marks.

Leadenhall Road near to the Bakkavor Pizza factory is currently closed by police after the weapons were discovered last night (Wednesday) Lincolnshire Police say.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested for firearms offences.

A van belonging to the Royal Logisitical Bomb Disposal is among the vehicles in attendance at the incident.

There’s also several police cars and two response units from the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Army personnel are in attendance.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: ” The EOD are helping our officers at an address in Holbeach St Marks, Holbeach. 

“We were called to the property last night in response to a number of weapons being found. 

“We need to make these safe and continue our inquiries.  One man, aged 42, from the local area has been arrested for firearms offences.

“There isn’t any risk to anyone and no-one has been injured.”
