Fuller escapes unscathed following crashes

It was a difficult end to the season for G&S Racing Kawasaki’s Zak Fuller as he crashed out of both of his races in the Pirelli Junior Superstock championship finale at Brands Hatch last weekend.
After qualifying in fifth place for the first race on Saturday he got a steady start, completing the first lap in ninth position.
But he settled into his race rhythm and picked up places to reach fifth on lap four of ten.
Fuller was battling in a group of five riders and, after leading the group for a while, he was passed by Ed Best at Druids on lap eight. One lap later while challenging for the lead, Fuller lost the front at Clearways and slid off the track, his race over.
In race two, Fuller set off from the second row and within five corners he high sided exiting Cooper Straight and went off the bike. He landed on the track in the path of the oncoming riders and was caught by another rider who was unable to avoid him. The race was red flagged and Fuller was attended to by the medics before being taken to the medical centre.
Luckily he was relatively unscathed with some cuts to his fingers and a sore ankle but no broken bones.
In the Senior Superstock class, Jorel Boerboom qualified for a tenth row start to the 14-lap affair and worked his way forward to 24th on lap ten. Although he was not far away from the group ahead, he was unable to catch them and completed his race in 24th.
Team manager Tom Fisher said: “Well that was not the way we hoped to end the season! Zak had the potential to be on the podium in the first race and was hopeful of the win in race two. But things didn’t go his way and he ended up with two crashes.
“Jorel is moving forward on the big bike and upped his pace again this weekend. He is riding faster with every outing although his finishing position doesn’t reflect the effort he puts in every week.”
