An astonishing 116 people took to the Snowden Field grass on Saturday for the weekly Parkrun.
Despite the frozen conditions, it was the Crowland event’s fourth highest number of finishers since it started in April 2019.
Leading the way to a warm cuppa was Harry Ledger, who completed the 5K circuit in a time of 18 minutes 44 seconds. First female home was teenager Josie Knight, fourth overall in 20:18.
Adam Caress was first over the line for Spalding-based Halmer Harriers. He completed the course in tenth place in 22:03.
Other Harriers were Richard Williams, 15th, 22:47, Simon Eldridge 27th 25:31, and Debs Norman 72nd 31:56.
Over at Rutland Water, three more Harriers were in action.
Jayne Pell led the way with a time of 36:56 securing her 258th place of 317 competitors, ahead of Katherine Baxter, 38:30, and Kathryn Chapman, 45:27.
Janet Strickland was also on the Parkrun chase, finishing 62nd of 128 runners at Boston in 20:42.
