Four injured, one with ‘stab wound’, after altercation in Spalding last night

A man suffered what is thought to be a stab wound and three others were injured after what police called an ‘altercation between a group’ last night (Tuesday).

A 16-year-old has been arrested as a result of the incident at the junction of Stonegate and Halmergate at around 7pm.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with an injury consistent but his condition is not believed to be life threatening, police said.

Two women and a man aged between 20 and 60 received minor injuries in the incident.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “We are investigating an altercation between a group of people which took place at around 7pm on Tuesday March 30 at the junction of Stonegate and Halmergate in Spalding.

“A man in his 20s received an injury consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital and his condition is not believed to be life threatening.

“Three other people, two women and a man, aged between 20 and 60, received minor injuries.

“A 16-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident. He remains in custody and will be questioned in due course.

“We believe this incident is isolated and those involved were known to one another.
