Food and crafts set for Holbeach’s first Saturday market

Holbeach is to host its first Saturday market in Church Street.

This Saturday (Aug 19), the monthly market launches with a range of stalls. “We have crafts and food at present, including cards, gifts, retro items, furniture and cakes,” said Holbeach Parish Councillor Isobel Hutchinson.

It is hoped the market will not only please Holbeach shoppers but also encourage traders.

“It is free for stall holders to try and encourage new businesses to the town so we hope that people will come along and support the stalls and hopefully it will encourage them to come back and trade in Holbeach again,” said Isobel.

“At present it is only a small market with limited spaces available but if there is enough interest from traders and public we will look to find a larger space.”

The market opens at 9am and ends at 2pm.

Holbeach is currently the subject of an improvement scheme led by the Holbeach Town Action Team.
