Focus on club at Sessions House

A photographic club is marking its 40th anniversary with an exhibition in Spalding this weekend.

Deepings Camera Club is putting on the free to enter display of work at the former court house from Friday, April 4, to Sunday, April 6.
The club’s Miriam Knight said: “This year is our 40th anniversary and we are proud to have kept up a consistently strong membership of around 50 to 60 despite the Covid years, plus we still have the benefit of three of our founder members to look to for advice and history.
“The exhibition will be open with refreshments available and there will be someone from the club on hand to answer any questions or talk about the club in general.
“Admission is free and we hope as many people as possible will come along to take a look at where we’ve been, not only locally but also around the world and what we’ve been up to.”
The event is open from 7pm on Friday, then 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The club will also hold a Photography Day in Market Deeping at the Coronation Hall from 9am to 5pm on Sunday, June 8.
It will include 90 minute presentations from top photographers Bill Ward, Ben Hall and Charlie Waite.
Tickets are £25 and available from tickets@deepingscamera.club
