Focus is on photographic society

Spalding Photographic Society have launched their first exhibition in four years.

To celebrate the return of their face-to-face meetings, the group is showing off some of their favourite pictures taken over the last few years at Ayscoughfee Hall.

The Geest Gallery is hosting 44 images taken by 11 members.

Among the images on show are ones by Joanna Banks who has won two of the three annual competitions the society puts on.

The club’s Brian Chaplin said: “It’s great to have the opportunity to put on our exhibition for the first time in several years.

“They’re the best pictures the members have created in the last few years.”

The exhibition is open until the end of this month with on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 2pm.

The groups meetings have also restarted.

“It’s been a real joy to get back to regular meetings,” Brian said, “It’s as much a social club as it is for photography.”
