Fitness marathon a success

A fitness instructor’s marathon class has raised £1,716 for a mental health charity.

Helen Lea, of Whaplode Drove, put on the part Clubbercize, part Zumba session at the Holbeach Community Centre on September 16.
There were 48 people who took part for an hour and 45 minutes.
And together with a raffle and various games they raised the brilliant figure for Papyrus, a charity that aims to promote mental health and prevent suicide, particularly in young people.
Helen wanted to do something for the charity after her son Elliot did the Three Peaks Challenge for it alongside friends Connor Lewis, Josh Clarke and Jamie Bingham, raising over £2,500.
“It was a fantastic event,” Helen said. “Thank you to everyone who took part and donated prizes including Burghley House, the SeaLife Centre in Hunstanton, the Anchor Inn, Impact Massage, Blossom n Glow, Flower Basket, Chameli and Tonwood.”
