FA Cup battle goes to a replay

Pinchbeck United were due to do it all again on Wednesday night after drawing 1-1 with Maltby Main on their trip to Yorkshire on Saturday.
The FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round replay will be the Knights’ first home game of the season.
Despite having to make a ninth minute substitution when James Stuffins suffered a shoulder injury, Pinchbeck grew into the game.
Both Logan Tate and Krisztian Gagyi went close before Pinchbeck took the lead on the stroke of half time.
Captain Joe Melson’s corner was nodded home at the far post by Owen Sherrif.
All of the Knights’ momentum went in the first minute of the second half as they conceded.
Matthew Ord netted.
Both sides had chances to win it as the game went end-to-end, but Pinchbeck were indebted to Elliott Burrell for a clearance of the line late on.
Tickets for Wednesday’s replay are £6 for adults, £3 concessions or £2 for 10 to 16-year-olds. Pinchbeck host Eastwood in the league on Saturday.
Knights: Wilkinson, Jaine, Gagyi, Cranfield, Sherrif (Burrell 77), Stuffins (Robson 9), Melson, Henderson, Tate, Johnson, Wootton, (Ibeneme 71). Subs not used: Edwards, Stevens.
