Exhibition was a hit

An exhibition of work by Spalding Arts and Crafts Society has been hailed a success ahead of the next meeting for members.

The group has been displaying work in Spalding Library recently and it provided plenty of interest.

A spokesman said: “Once again it was very successful.

“Many thanks to the people who bought paintings.”

Malcolm Cudmore is the guest visitor to its next meeting at Pinchbeck Village Hall on Tuesday, November 1.

He has been given a blank canvas by the society to showcase what he wants to at the event from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Entry is £3 for society members and £5 for visitors. Doors open at 7pm.

Its most recent demonstration came from Ernie Butler, a former artist in residence at Unique Cottage Studios in Low Fulney.

The spokesman said: “It was an excellent oil painting demonstration of atmospheric skies.

“Ernie now lives south of Cambridge, so we appreciated him travelling to us.”
