Holbeach United’s new squad continues to quickly take shape after left-back Chris Ward agreed to join.
The 21-year-old’s contract at King’s Lynn Town has expired.
Ward, who lives in Sutton Bridge, has been on the radar of Tigers assistant manager Tom Roberts since being part of the King’s Lynn Town Reserves team that won the Peterborough League Division One title in 2012-13.
The player has first-team experience in the Evo-Stik North Premier Division (Step Three) at The Walks, and in Step Four during a loan spell with Dereham Town.
Roberts said: “I’ve kept an eye on him over the last season or so. He didn’t get offered a deal this year and he made it apparent that he wanted to come over.
“We’re delighted. He’s bought into all that we want to achieve and he’ll be a big part of our plans.
“He’s another local lad for us. Everyone you talk to over King’s Lynn way speaks highly of him.”
The Tigers have already agreed terms with Peterborough Northern Star defender Jonny Clay and former Boston United and Boston Town keeper Ricky Drury.
