Intrepid explorers can spend the day trekking the lost maze of the dinosaurs as one of the district’s top summer attractions opens today.
Every summer thousands of visitors make the journey to the Maze in Maize at Whaplode to put their sense of direction to the test trying to make it to the centre of the themed jungle of maize.
This year the maze theme has gone all prehistoric, but it is still the same fun experience and there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Now in its ninth year, previous mazes have included sea life, safari, space, ancient Egypt and the human body.
The maze will be open from today (July 24) until Sunday, September 3 from 10am to 6pm (last admission at 5pm).
After September 3, the maze will be open at weekends only until September 21.
Admission costs £5.75 for adults and £4.75 for children aged three to 16. OAP tickets cost £5.25 and family tickets (2+2 or 1+3) are £19.
As always, there will also be a couple of night maze events this year, on Saturday, September 28 and October 5, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.
The maze can be found in Sholtsgate, Whaplode. See www.mazeinmaize.co.uk for more details or call 07770 055681.
