Emery eases to victory at Tydd Gote Gote Angling Club with a strong net

Pete Emery was the star man at the Tydd Gote AC Sunday club match at Main Road with a lovely net of roach, rudd and skimmers for 13lb 8oz.

Emery was two upstream of the bridge and made no mistake by fishing single and double pinkie over hemp – keeping fish coming throughout the day for a comfortable win.

At the other end of the match, Steve Borrett found some better quality roach and skimmers from peg five in his second placed net of 9lb 4oz again to single and double pinkie over groundbait and hemp.

Dennis Houghton was in third from the concrete with a maggot and pinkie caught weight of skimmers and roach for 8lb 8oz.

Odd tench continued to feed, with both Dave Simmonds and Tony Carr including good fish in with their silvers.

Wednesday Open (at Main Road): 1st; John Taylor 14lb 13oz; 2nd Dennis Houghton 7lb 10oz; 3rd Pete Emery 6lb 14oz.
