Donington are Billiards Shield champions

Donington are the first winners of the Spalding and District Snooker and Billiards League championship finals.
The team, consisting Nigel Brasier (R70), Jim Thompson (R60) and Tony Scully (R40) took on Bourne SC’s Ian Clare (R50), Oliver Player (R40) and Max Ayliff (R30) in the match held at Spalding Consti Club on Friday night.
Donington emerged victorious with an aggregate score of 600-469.
The final was the first of the league’s championship games, the remainder of which take place at Springfields Events Centre, Spalding, this weekend starting at 7.30pm on Friday with matches throughout the weekend.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
