Darts round-up: Tigers still perfect after sixth win, Williams and Stancer contest a classic

It’s now six wins from as many games for Spalding and District Darts League Division One leaders Tigers C after they won 8-1 against Bell (Weston Hills).

In-form Cambridgeshire county A player Simon Hill kept up his good run with a great 3-0 win – and he fired in yet another 180.

Team-mate, and Cambridgeshire county B player Ant Richardson, also hit two 180s and Mark Horspool made his fifth maximum of the season in the victory.

The only winner for Bell was Tracey Baldwin, who beat Pete Richardson.

At the other end of the table, Rose and Crown got their first win of the season with a 5-4 victory against Consti D.

After winning two out of three of the pairs games, Rose and Crown had singles wins for Hank Watson and Ian Lawson.

This was followed by a 3-1 win for Adam Brand against Geoff Herd to seal the win, although Ady Smith fired in a 180 for Consti.

The top tier final game of the night saw Tigers A beat Lincoln Arms 9-0 with some amazing darts.

Match of the night was Cambridgeshire County A player Steve Stancer losing 3-2 to Lincolnshire County A and England International Scott Williams. Between the two of them there were 17 scores of 100 or more and Williams hit two 180s.

Elsewhere, there were two 180s for Duggie Mcinerney and one for Ash Allen.

In Division Two, Drayman’s Arms extended their lead at the top with a 7-2 win against Punchbowl.

Singles wins for Sharon Barnard, Vlad Fomkinas, John Charlton, Nigel Goodwin and Ian Tilley were more than enough to seal the win, with Charlton hitting a 180.

Elswhere, third-placed Royal Mail Cart B beat Palmers 5-4.

Chris Holland’s 2-1 win against Zach Chapman at the death sealed the win.

The final game of the night was a 7-2 win for Abbey Hotel against Maples Services.
