Consti E open gap at the top

Consti E strengthened their standing at the top of the Spalding and District Snooker League Division One with a 4-2 win over Holbeach A.

They now hold a three-point lead over Bourne A who lost 4-2 at home to Holbeach D.
Mark Gray produced breaks of 47 and 28 as he put his side 2-1 up after three frames, but Holbeach’s Don Monk (O7) edged Ian Clare (scr) on the black before Paul Daw (O28) won the decider against Pete Hodgson-Kerry (O28) 43-23.
Pyramid D picked up their first win of the season at Holbeach C thanks to Marcus Hamilton (O35), James Sharpe (O42), who racked up a score of 104, and Peter Jackson (R7).
Dan Ashton had a break of 20 and Mark Gregory 22 as the picked up frame wins for Holbeach C.
Wins from Daniel Smith (O7), Pete King (R14), Andy Mowforth (O7) and Steve Smith (R14) gave Boundary A a 5-1 win over Pyramid A.
Services D have moved top of Division Two after a 5-1 win over Pyramid B thanks to wins from Tanya Peel (scr), Jake Haslam (scr), Courtney Boulding (R14) and Mark Howlett (O14) on the black.
The previously top Consti G were without a game while previously third place Services B were beaten 5-1 by Holbeach B.
Charlie Mullane (R14) pocketed a 25 clearance and Wayne Forblets (O21) beat Alan Hansard (scr) by one point on the back for Holbeach for whom Barry Haynes (O7) and Pete Mullane (O21) also won.
Holbeach F replaced them in third thanks to a 4-2 win at Gosberton A with wins from the Lefleys of David (R21) and Susan (R21) and Dan Mayfield (O28).
Consti B beat Donington A 4-2, the match sealed with Martin Fear (scr) winning his frame against Pat Taylor (R14) on the black.
The top three in Division Three all claimed wins with leaders Gosberton D beating Pyramid E 5-1 and second placed Whittlesey C beating Consti C 4-2.
Consti J remained third with wins on the black from both Peter Orange (R21) and Neville Vickers (scr) plus frame victories from Justyn Stanley (scr) and Stuart Davies (07).
Gosberton B won 5-1 at Whittlesey B thanks to Nigel Goodwin (R21), Warren Driver (R21), Simon Slinger (R14) and Stuart Ruskin (R7).
