Missing Spalding pensioner found ‘safe’

UPDATE, Thursday 11am: A pensioner missing from his Spalding home since Tuesday has been found “safe in Norfolk”, say Lincolnshire Police.

Beverly Brown (84) left his home in Sezanne Walk on Tuesday morning bound for Norfolk to visit relatives, who raised the alarm when he didn’t arrive.

Police say no further details will be issued about the case.

Mr Brown is a supported housing tenant with South Holland District Council.

 

Wednesday, 9am: Police are searching for an 84-year-old man who has gone missing from Spalding.

Beverly George Brown left his home in Sezanne Walk around 8am on Tuesday, apparently intending to travel to Norfolk to visit relatives. He did not reach his destination and concern for his safety was raised on Tuesday evening.

When making this journey, Mr Brown usually catches a bus from Spalding bus station, travelling to Norwich, and from there to Great Yarmouth, before continuing to his destination at Stalham.

Mr Brown is approx 5ft 8ins tall, of thin build, and walks with a limp in his left leg. He carries a walking stick.

Anyone who has information concerning his current whereabouts, or who thinks they may have seen Mr Brown, is urgently asked to contact Lincolnshire Police, quoting incident number 401 of June 9.
