Clear Main Road victory for Newton at Holbeach and District Angling Club

Chris Newton was on winning form as Holbeach and District Angling Club contested their weekly match at the Main Road section on Sunday.

Fishing from peg 20, Newton was the clear winner with a net full of 5lb of roach.

Second place went to Alan Smith, who was competing from peg 11.

His catch of 3lb 15oz was mostly made up of perch and roach.

Completing the top three was Andy Kilby, who weighed in with 3lb 4oz from peg 17. His total was boosted by a bonus perch.
