Chilvers holds nerve to book Consti E’s semi slot

Cup ties took centre stage in the Spalding and District Darts League.

In the Supreme Cup (Division One) Consti E beat Green Dragon 5-4 with Callum Ward firing in a 180.
The deciding game saw Jason Chilvers beat Josh Young, with other singles wins coming from Mark Dixon and Dan Gent.
The win means they will face one of last year’s finalists in the semi-final, Tigers C or Consti A. The other semi-final will be Drayman’s A against Rose and Crown.
In the Dick Morgan Cup (Division Two) the Mail Cart secured an easy victory with a 7-2 success against Consti D, where Steve Rawding rolled back the years and hit a 180 in his 2-1 win over Steve Emery.
The only winner in the singles for the Consti was captain Ady Smith.
The other game was much closer with Ye Old Abbey beating Lincoln A 5-4. The deciding game saw JJ Baird beat Simon Barnett 2-0 and hit a 180. Luke Rhodes also threw a 180 and newbie Elliot Capper had a 112 check out. Steve Stancer had a 15-dart leg in his game following on his fine form from winning the Pinchbeck League singles title on Friday, beating Consti A captain Sam Roberts in the final 3-2.
The semi final draw is Tigers B v Punchbowl A and Mail Cart v Ye Olde Abbey.
In the Kelly Foster Cup (Division Three) Punchbowl B beat Lincoln B 5-4 with Ryan Munton beating league chairman Ian Tilley 2-1 to seal the fate.
Other singles winners for the Punchbowl B were Stu Adams and Jamie McHugh.
The semi-final will be Ship (Long Sutton) against Drayman’s B and Oscars Bar or HUSC taking on Punchbowl B.
