Chair’s cash for questions

The chairman of South Holland District Council got quizzical recently and raised hundreds for charity.

While taking on the role Coun Andrew Woolf is fundraising for Mencap and Blood Cancer UK.
The latest event was a charity quiz at Cowbit Village Hall which was well attended with every table taken and keen competitive quizzers all hoping to win while raising £585.
Marcus Pell was quiz master for the evening and provided eight rounds of challenging questions including an excellent picture and music round.
The triumphant team was Piston Brake followed by SHDC Environmental Health Team.
Darren Harper and Marcus organised a pop up bar for the evening, serving items provided by Cowbit Village Store.
Coun Woolf said: “I would like to thank everyone for attending and supporting this event, with special thanks to Darren and Marcus for giving up their time to organise a wonderful evening.”

SHDC Environmental team were runners up.
