Expanding firm Fenland Carpets and Flooring celebrating a successful first year in Spalding

The sky is the limit for Fenland Carpets and Flooring as it celebrates its first year in business.

After opening the Spalding shop in March last year, the booming business has already expanded to include a second store in Bourne.

And it doesn’t end there, as owner Nick Bloodworth is hoping to open two more shops in the future to fulfil his original vision of four.

Fenland Carpets, which has a staff of five, with a further team of five experienced fitters, offers a friendly service at an affordable price.

Between them the staff have around 100 years of experience in the carpet industry and can offer help and advice on finding the perfect flooring to meet customers’ needs.

As well as carpets, this includes laminates, solid timber, engineered timbers and vinyls.

Due to customer demand, the first year has also seen Fenland Carpets expand its selection of rugs.

It is also one of the main dealers in the area for the premium Karndean brand of luxury vinyls, which are tailored to individual requirements and custom fitted.

In fact, Fenland Carpets has quickly become the largest independent flooring retailers in South Holland.

Nick said: “It has been a good year for us.

“I have been in the carpet trade since I left school and a lot of people know me from my time with the multi-nationals.

“During that time I made many friends in the trade and some of them now work with me at Fenland Carpets.

“In October we opened the second shop and I hope to open two more, possibly in Holbeach, Boston or Peterborough – it just depends where the right premises become available.

“We pride ourselves on catering for all markets and our friendly customer service.

“We are not like the multi-nationals, claiming to have a massive sale on every day.

“When we have a promotion it is genuine, no gimmicks, just good value every day of the week.”

To celebrate its anniversary, Fenland Carpets is offering all customers free fitting.

Nick added: “We wanted to give something back to our customers who have supported us in our first year and hope to see many more new customers in the year to come.”
