Businesses in contention for awards glory

Businesses shortlisted for honours have been announced for the fourth annual South Holland Business Awards – sponsored by PSP IT – which takes place on Thursday night.
A whole range of businesses applied this year, giving judges the tough task of narrowing down the finalists.

After careful consideration, the following businesses were selected as finalists and will be attending the award ceremony to see who scoops the top prize.

They are: Fairnet Commercial Services, Maples, Pet to Vet, Tulip Radio, Tonic, Lincs Training, Elite Sport Academy Ltd, Woodlands Hotel, NFU Mutual, Duncan & Toplis, Freshlinc, Infotel, Sunflower Lodge Childcare, Kirsty Buffham at Fairnet, Nicole Sleaford at Infotel, Lisa Wright at National Centre, Jac Ripley at Maples.

Phil Scarlett, president of the Spalding and District Area Chamber, commented: “I’d like to extend a huge thank you to all those businesses who submitted applications this year.

“The competition was very tight and they should all be extremely proud of what they have to offer.

“We are very much looking forward to announcing the winners at our sell out event.

“The South Holland Business Awards are extremely special as they provide an opportunity to acknowledge all the hard work being carried out in the more remote areas of Lincolnshire.”

The event is set to be a rather glitzy one with bubbles on arrival, a three course meal, live entertainment and, of course, the awards themselves.

All tickets have sold out, but those who missed out can keep up-to-date through Twitter using the hashtag #SHBA.
