Brownies enjoy a party for Queen’s birthday

It’s been all about food and fun for 1st Holbeach Brownies after a noisy street party to mark the Queen’s birthday and a Farm to Fork evening.
The girls ressed in their best party dresses and feasted on sandwiches, sausages, crisps, jelly and ice cream, homemade cakes and a birthday cake to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The girls were each given a Queen’s 90th birthday badge.
Leader Jayne Dean said: “No party would be complete without party games, the girls were so excited.
“It was a fantastic evening and enjoyed by everyone.”
The Brownies also enjoyed a visit to Tesco Holbeach for a Farm to Fork evening where they explored the warehouse, loved the coldness of the freezers and tasted different types of bread in the bakery.
The girls then had to find the origin of the fruit and vegetables on sale, ending with sampling various cheeses and meats and fresh fruits.
All girls were given a goody bag containing a badge, fruit games and cookery leaflets.
Mrs Dean added; “We all had a lovely evening.”
If you have Thursday evening free and would like to help or know a little girl aged seven to ten years old who would be interested in joining 1st Holbeach Bownies, ring Jayne on 01406 422248.
