Customers were eager to see inside the latest big-name store to open at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Festival Gardens in Spalding.
There was a flurry of people as clothing retailer FatFace opened on Monday morning – and brisk business was sustained.
Project manager Sophie Gellatly, who has helped recruit the 12 full and part-time staff, was “delighted” with early sales figures following the five-week refit.
She said: “Springfields has been trying to get us here for quite a while and we couldn’t have asked for a better start.
“We’ve had lots of customers and some very good feedback.
“People have been telling us in our local branches in Peterborough, Oakham and Stamford how pleased they are that we were opening here.
“And Springfields centre staff have been amazing.”
The store is the only FatFace outlet on the East coast.
