Spalding High School students produced some fantastic GCSE results.
Out of 1,500 qualifications, more than half of the pupils at the school earned at least one of the highest grades possible (seven to nines).
There were 14 per cent who hit that mark in all their subjects.
Headteacher Michele Anderson said: “Last week we reported outstanding A Level results, some of the best the school has ever achieved.
“This week, we are both pleased and proud to report that our Year 11 students have secured truly phenomenal results too.
“We are so proud of our Year 11 students who have worked tremendously hard on their GCSE studies over the last two years and achieved some of the best GCSE results the School has seen in recent years.
“Their results are a testament to their commitment and hard work alongside the support of their parents and carers and the dedication of our experienced staff.
“The High School has again bucked the national trends and our 52 per cent of pupils achieving grades seven to nine compare very favourably with the national attainment rate of 26.3 per cent and regional rate of 22.5 per cent.
“Fourteen percent of students achieved Grades seven and nine in all of their subjects.
“Our analysis of the initial results suggests that we can look forward to positive Value Added Progress 8 and Attainment 8 scores again this year.
“We continue to be very proud of our students’ EBacc results with 93 per cent of students entered for the qualification.
“In English, 98.6 per cent of students achieved a grade four (standard pass), or higher and 92 per cent achieved a Grade 5+ (good pass) or above.
“In Mathematics, 98 per cent of students achieved a Grade four or higher and 91 per cent achieved a Grade five or above while 97.2 per cent of students achieved a Grade four or higher in both English and Mathematics.
“We wish all our students the very best of luck and every success in the future; they have been rewarded with grades that will stand them in good stead for the next step in their education.
“The very great majority of Year 11s will be returning to the High School in September to take up A Level courses along with a large number of transferees from other schools.
“We are looking forward to welcoming them all.
“The High School is delighted that the students have done so well in their GCSE subjects; they should be as proud of themselves as we are of them.”
