Joe Broomfield smashed a sensational 220 to give Moulton Harrox a huge 149-run win over Market Deeping 2nd in Rutland League Division Four East on Sunday.
Broomfield’s brilliant knock, which is the performance of the season so far, included 26 fours and 12 sixes as he steered Moulton to 288 batting first at Harrox Playing Field.
Only two of his team-mates – Lance Bettinson (18) and Vanraj Odera (11) – managed double figures in the clash, making it a real one-man show with the bat.
This Sunday’s action sees Harrox visit Newborough 2nd (1pm), while Spalding Sunday 1st are at Whittlesey 2nd (also 1pm) in the same division.
Up in Division Three East, Long Sutton Sunday 1st travel to Hampton 1st (1pm).
Meanwhile, Moulton Harrox are also in action on Saturday.
They welcome Grave Park to Harrox Field for a South Lincs and Border League Cup (Division D) clash.
That tie gets under way at 1pm.
