Braving the shave is a grand way to help

Spalding mum Emma Fisher is sporting a short new hair look to help a good cause.

She took part in Brave the Shave.

Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, Emma (29) had her head shaved in the town centre.

She raised nearly £1,000 for the charity which helped her mother Jayne Bycraft, who died aged 29.

Her uncle Jont Bycraft, Jayne’s brother-in-law, died from the disease in 2014 aged 46 and they were both nursed by Macmillan during their illness.

Emma has already completed a skydive and Race for Life for the charity.

“I’d like to thank my husband Nick, my two sons, my dad, Donna, Julie at The Sizzling Grill, Mike, Shelly and all my family and friends for all their help, love, support and encouragement,” she said.

Emma had never had her hair cut short and her locks have been sent to the Little Princess charity to help make wigs for young cancer patients.
