Bourne hold on at top

Bourne SC cemented their place at the top of the Spalding and District Billiards League with a 7-0 win over Consti B on Monday night.
Lester Gaunt (O10), Oli Player (R40) and Elliot Gaunt (R40) won their respective frames against Steve Spencer (R110), Mick Johnson (R150) and Jason Rose (scr).
Breaks during the match included a 45 and 29 from Player, a 26 and 21 from Johnson, a 25 and 24 from Lester Gaunt and a 25 from Elliot Gaunt.
The win puts Bourne three points clear at the top of the division.
Consti A remain in second place thanks to a 5-2 victory away at Donington.
John Bellerby (R70) and Alan Hansard (R70) took the first two frames for Consti, before Nigel Brasier (R60) won the third, giving Donington two points.
Holbeach B have moved up one place into third, having beaten Gosberton B 5-2.
Denis Hix (R70) and Neil Harvey (R50) got the wins for Holbeach, with Shane White (O40) picking up the points for Gosberton.
It was a close match for clubmates Pyramid A and B, with the B team just edging it 4-3.
