Blue bag textile collection scheme in South Holland to be extended

A trial scheme to collect textiles separately from other recyclable products is being extended.

South Holland District Council’s waste and recycling team launched the venture last year.

It is now being extended to include Donington, Weston Hills, Moulton, parts of Long Sutton, Wygate Park area of Spalding and parts of Holbeach.

Blue bags and leaflets are currently being delivered to these areas and residents will be able to use the service straight away.

Meanwhile, a reminder has been issued that refuse and recycling collections will be operating as normal on Good Friday and Easter Monday .

A council spokesman said: “Please could residents ensure that their sacks are ready for collection by 7am.”
