Carrying a bladed knuckle-duster led to a six month suspended jail sentence for a Croydon man.
Junior Titilawo (23), of Dale Road, Purley, admitted carrying the offensive weapon at the Castle Sports Playing Field, Spalding, on May 25.
Boston Magistrates’ Court also sentenced him to a one-year supervision order, 100 hours unpaid work and costs and surcharge totalling £200 when he appeared on June 20.
Spalding’s Sector Inspector Gareth Boxall said after the case that Titilawo was arrested after a stop-and-search.
“There is no good reason for anyone to possess the item.
“To use such an item on someone would cause serious harm or most likely death; the sentence imposed by the court reflects the seriousness of the matter,” he said.
