A 7-0 victory over Donington sent Crowland A 19 points clear at the top of the Spalding and District Billiards League table on Monday night.
Their 13th win of the campaign makes the leaders red-hot favourites to clinch the crown with seven rounds of fixtures left to play.
Second-placed Holbeach C – who have two games in hand on the table-toppers – did at least keep the pressure on the runaway leaders by beating Consti C 5-2.
Ben Harding (R60) and Colin Dodd (R50) got the wins for Holbeach, with both making impressive breaks.
A 31 and 23 helped Harding see off John Bellerby (R90) in the opening frame, while Dodd sank a super 35 to see off Stewart Davies (R30), who made scores of 22, 21 (twice) and 20 in reply.
Alan Hansard (R70) did win the final frame to least give Consti C two precious points.
One point behind Holbeach C in third are Crowland B, who suffered a 5-2 reverse at Holbeach B.
As ever, Rob Childs was on red-hot form for Crowland with breaks of 47, 42, 35, 31, 28 and 26 as he beat Duncan Croker (R70) in the second frame of the clash.
But it was victories from Denis Hix (R70) – who bagged a 22 break – and Tony Blanchard (R50) that helped Holbeach secure the lion’s share of the spoils.
Meanwhile, Gosberton B roared to an impressive 7-0 success over Pyramid B in largely one-sided affair.
Marcus Pell (O10) kicked off the whitewash by edging out Maurice Phillipson (R60) 200-193 in the tightest frame of the night, making a 24 break in the process.
Pete Waterfall (R110) then reeled off a 25 break en-route to defeating Martin O’Connor (R10) in frame two, before his son James Waterfall (R50) rounded off the rout with a super 200-124 success over Darrell Read (R40).
It was much tighter as the other Gosberton team, the A side, picked up a 5-2 (597-520) triumph over hosts Pyramid A.
The clash started well for the Bourne boys, with John Clapton (R100) shading a very tight tussle with Andy Shephard (R120) 200-197.
Norman Gookey (R80) hit back for Gosberton with a 200-141 success over Eric Wyer (R70) in frame two, setting the stage for team-mate Malc Dennis (R110) to beat John Twell (R60).
