Billiards round-up: Seven-up! Week of maximum wins in Spalding and District League

It was a week of whitewashes in the Spalding and District Billiards League as four of the fixtures ended in a 7-0 scoreline.

Leaders Holbeach A got in on the act, as they walloped rock-bottom Gosberton A on their home baize.

James Glover (R90), Colin Dodd (R30) and Ben Harding (R40) all won frames and made breaks of 21, 28 and 23 respectively for the title hopefuls.

Second-placed Crowland B kept up with the pace-setters by thrashing hosts Donington by the same 7-0 scoreline.

Paul Holland (R60), Roger Goodliffe (R120) and Allan Sharman (R60) were all on winning form.

Sharman sank a 22 break, while Holland added a 20 for the high-fliers.

That theme continued with Gosberton B’s 7-0 beating of Pyramid B.

Victories from James Waterfall (R60), Shane White (O20) and Marcus Pell (O20) secured the success, with White racking up breaks of 27, 23, 22 (twice) and 20 for the hosts.

Completing the week of whitewashes were Consti A, who handed hosts Pyramid A a big 7-0 reverse.

Their wins came from John Bellerby (R100), Alan Hansard (R80) and Stewart Davies (R30), with the latter making a cool 36.
