Bid to boost school’s playground

A bid to renovate a school’s playground has begun with pupils, staff and parents looking to raise £50,000.

The Friends of Pinchbeck East Primary Academy is looking to improve the area.
It’s started by getting hands-on, spending last weekend building planters in the Key Stage One playground.
But the group has impressive plans and is looking to hear from businesses and individuals who may be able to help.
They would like to bring in more picnic benches, interactive floor paintings, outside wall art and some shade due to the lack of it, particularly in the Key Stage One area.
Gemma Reed, from the Friends of Pinchbeck East, said: “We had a brilliant weekend completing stage one of the project with some planters which look incredible, we are so happy with them.
“We know these areas need a boost and upgrading to make them vibrant and interactive areas for all of our children to play and learn.
“We aim to do this in stages as and when we raise the money, with significant changes being implemented over school holidays so the children have a surprise to return to.
“This is a big project and will require significant funds to be raised to reach our target. This will be from donations and fundraising.
“We endeavour to reach this by Autumn 2024 and all our fundraising efforts will be going towards this.”
