Ben Wilson has a need for speed as he prepares for Team EHA bow at Silverstone

Ben Wilson will make his debut for Team EHA in round one of the National Superstock championship at Silverstone this weekend.

Wilson will be riding the Aprilia RSV4RF for his new team – and was at Donington Park last week to take part in the British Superbike test day where he made good progress with the set up.

Adjustments were made to suit the 34-year-old ace’s unique riding style – and by the end of the day the Kirton rider was happy with the bike’s performance.

He said: “The bike is a missile and we have spent a great deal of time getting dialled in.

“After so long on a Kawasaki I have to get used to a different bike, but the Aprilia is so easy to ride, it is very smooth and I am really looking forward to my new venture starting at Silverstone.

“I have to thank my team for their hard work over the last few days to get the bike prepared for me.

“They have done a grand job and also made me feel very welcome. My aim is to get on the pace as quickly as possible and bring some top results back to Team EHA Racing.”

Free practice at Silverstone is on Friday at 11.45am, followed by the first qualifying session later in the day at 2.40pm. Final qualifying is on Saturday at 12.50pm and the combined results will set the grid for the 11-lap race on Sunday at 2.15pm. That will be screened live on Eurosport 2.
