It took place on Sunday, July 12 at Sharps Bridge on the main Holland Drain.

Conditions looked ok but the colour had drained from the river so things were expected to be tough.

Leading the way was Barker who caught a total of 14lb 13 1/2oz from peg 13.

His haul included a good net of mainly roach on the pole line.

In second place was Holbeach captain Ian Thrower who caught 9lb 15oz of good stamp roach on the short waggler line from peg 14.
