Ayscoughfee Hall and Moulton Mill among places to close

Ayscoughfee Hall and Moulton Mill are among the places in South Holland to close as a result of the current Covid-19 outbreak.

Moulton Mill is to close for the ‘foreseeable future’.

A spokesman for the mill, said: “The Directors/Trustees of Moulton Windmill have decided to close the mill for the foreseeable future to safeguard risks to our volunteers.

This will mean that many of our events will have to be cancelled.

On Ayscoughfee, a spokesman for South Holland District Council, said: “In light of the Government’s latest advice to help suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens will be closed from Wednesday March 18 until the end of April. The Café will also be closed throughout this period.

“Any events due to take the place at the Hall during this time will be postponed, and we will only be contactable by phone (01775 764555) or online at ayscoughfee.org.

“The safety of our visitors and staff is of course always our priority. The latest updates will be available on Ayscoughfee and South Holland District Council’s social media pages and website.

“In the meantime please look after one another and we will see you soon!”
