Axeman Andy rides into town

He’s jammed with the likes of George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton – now he’s heading to Spalding.

Andy Fairweather Low and his current band the Lowriders are riding into The South Holland Centre on Saturday, September 2.

The 74-year-old guitarist has had a stunning career.

He shot to fame as lead singer in Amen Corner singing massive hits like Bend Me Shape Me, Hello Suzy and (If Paradise is) Half As Nice.

A hugely successful solo career followed with Wide Eyed And Legless being the biggest international hit from his three solo albums.

Andy has played guitar with more legendary artists than most people can name – Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Band, Roger Waters and hundreds more.

He’s now touring the world together with his band lan Jennings on bass and vocals, Paul Beavis on drums, Nick Pentelow on sax and clarinet and Richard Milner on organ.
