Awards for talented Spalding artists

Two Spalding Grammar School students have been recognised for their artistic talents.

Rex Briddon and Lloyd White were both winners in the Willoughby Memorial Trust’s 2014 Art Competition.

Rex won first prize in the Key Stage 4 category for his brilliantly accomplished multi-media self portrait, Rex, while Lloyd was highly commended for his compelling digitally manipulated photographic portrait The Girlfriend.

Rex and his father and sister attended, along with assistant head David Morris and head of art and design Shelley Livingstone, who said: “The standard this year was very high and everyone present was extremely proud of the students’ achievements and pleased to be able to celebrate them, and witness and applaud the presentation of certificates and prize money.”
