Arts project brightens town

New artworks are brightening up a closed department store’s window in the heart of Spalding.
Transported Arts working with artists from Making Up Your Street have created bespoke art for the former Beales Department Store shop front.
A spokesman for Transport Arts, said: “Artists Laura and Kathleen from Making Up Your Street gathered stories and memories from Spalding residents and crafted them into beautiful book nook sculptures (miniature dioramas that sit on bookshelves between books) to brighten up the high street.
“If you’re in the area, please do have a look, and feel free to take pictures and tag us in.”
