Art to revamp Holbeach Cemetery Chapels is unveiled

Artistic efforts of children to give a new look to boarded up old buildings have been unveiled in Holbeach.

Artist Steven Hatton, of Electric Egg, was commissioned as part of Transported’s On Your Doorstep project, to give a new lease of life to the boarded up Holbeach Cemetery Chapels.
He worked with children at William Stukeley and Holbeach Primary schools as well as other members of the community, young and old, at an open workshop.

Those who took part created four bespoke photographic murals inspired by stained glass windows.

Their efforts were unveiled at an event which saw local councillor Nick Worth cut a ribbon and singer Meg McPartlin performed.
