Appeal after elderly man assaulted and had walking stick stolen on doorstep

An elderly man was assaulted and had his walking stick stolen on his doorstep, Lincolnshire Police have said.

The force has released an image of a man they would like to question in relation to the incident which happened around 1.25pm on The Parkway in Spalding on Saturday, June 18.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “Around 1:25pm on Saturday 18 June, a man knocked on the door of an address on The Parkway, Spalding.

“He assaulted the elderly occupant and took their walking stick.

“Members of the public intervened, and the man ran off along Hawthorn Bank.
