Yaxley 2

Holbeach United suffered a second successive home defeat in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division as Yaxley handed them a 2-0 reverse on Wednesday night.

Dan Cotton fired the Cuckoos ahead on 40 minutes  at Carter’s Park, then Joe Butterworth sealed the points 20 minutes from time.

Having been undefeated in their first eight league games, Tom Roberts’  Tigers have now suffered back-to-back losses – having gone down 2-1 at home to Desborough Town on Saturday.

The defeat sees Yaxley join Holbeach on 21 points, but the Tigers fall behind them into seventh on goal difference.
