Anita and Maureen land lady captain’s crown at Spalding Golf Club

Anita Cross and Maureen Orwell were the winners of Theresa Starbuck’s Lady Captain’s Day event at Spalding Golf Club.

The competition saw the teams playing out a combination of fourball, better ball, greensome and individual Stableford formats.

The day, which started with croissant and coffee, was enhanced by fruit and cocktails at the half-way house and finally ended with a light meal and Prosecco.

The prizes for the first six places, plus a visitors’ prize, included spa breaks and treats from local businesses.

Skipper Starbuck gave thanks to all for playing and those helping, including golf club staff.
