Anderson in familiar place

The heat was turned up for Saturday’s Snowden Field parkrun, with 99 hardy participants taking on the weekly 5K run in Crowland.

First across the line, for a remarkable 15th time in a row was Peterborough & Nene Valley AC’s Ryan Anderson, in 19mins 40 secs, a full minute ahead of Adam Scheider, who recorded a personal best time of 20:40.

Halmer Harriers’ Adam Caress was third, 20:55, with his Spalding clubmate Debs Norman clocking 32:58 in 57th place.

A trio of Harriers took to the Holme Pierrepont course in Nottingham. Kathryn Chapman was 269th of 362 runners, 32:29, just ahead of Lisa Gill, 32:30, with Jayne Pell 313rd, 35:56.

At Keswick, Daisy Jowers was eighth female, 21:39, with Martin and Karen Wallis recording 24:28 and 36:44 respectively at March.
