Act II’s return with a legal comedy

A blonde moment is providing a local theatre group with its return to the stage.

Act II are back and bringing their production of the comedy Legally Blonde to the stage next week.
The show was originally meant to be staged in April 2020, but two years after first rehearsals the group are finally bringing it on stage at Spalding Grammar School from Wednesday to Saturday August 18 to 21.
A spokesman for Act II said: “Act II Theatre Company’s long awaited music theatre show is finally here!
“Originally slated for performance in April 2020, this high energy, toe-tapping musical extravaganza is coming to Spalding, better than ever!
“See this first-class adaptation of the much-loved 2001 film and come and experience the incredibly talented young people of South Holland in actual live theatre.
“Based on the novel and the hit-movie of the same name, Legally Blonde: the Musical  tells the transformation of perky sorority girl Elle Woods who is devastated when her boyfriend dumps her for ‘not being serious’ enough. In a bid to win him back she enrols in Harvard Law School, where she soon discovers a flair for the legal system and defies expectations by proving herself to be much more than her ‘blonde sorority girl ‘persona.
“Act II are delighted to be (finally!) performing this high-energy, feel good, pink and perky musical almost two years since rehearsals began!”
Legally Blonde is on Wednesday to Saturday August 18-20 at 7.30pm at Spalding Grammar School, Priory Road, Spalding, PE11 2XH
Tickets cost £12 and must be pre-booked by ringing 01775 766921 or emailing [email protected]
