Accountants’ quiz for cause

Chartered accountants from Moore Thompson raised hundreds of pounds for good causes at a charity quiz night.
More than 40 people took part in the quiz night at Spalding Rugby Club, which managed to raise £306 for the Moore Thompson Charitable Fund – an in-house charity that donates money to a number of local and national causes.
The winning quiz team, Bobby’s Girls, made up of April Barker, Heather Bright and Jenny and Rosie Nicolson took home a £100 cash prize, while other competitors won prizes by taking party in a raffle.
Mark Hildred, managing partner at Moore Thompson, said: “We are absolutely delighted that this quiz night has raised so much money for good causes.
“When we set up the charitable fund last year we never thought it would be so successful. Everyone has really got into the spirit of things and we have already raised thousands of pounds.”
This is the second time Moore Thompson has held a successful quiz night, with the last event raising another £300 for charity.
“Everyone had an absolutely brilliant night and really enjoyed themselves,” added Mark. “Hopefully we will do it again in the near future to raise even more money for charity,”
