Monday night saw the first league winners announced which were Ye Olde Abbey who won 6-3 against Tigers B to make them champions of Division Two.
The night did not start out well as they went 2-1 down in the pairs but the ever-consistent Craig Norbury went on first singles to level the match.
The Abbey won the last four games to seal the win thanks to JJ Bird, Dave Norbury, Scott Lawrence, and Dean Parker.
A special mention needs to go to the Tigers’ sole winner, 11-year-old Leo Clarkson who played his first game in the league and managed a win.
Also in Division Two the Ship Long Sutton have won their first game of the season by beating Mail Cart A 6-3.
The Ship sailed through Division Three last year but this season they seem to have hit an iceberg with trying to win.
After going 2-1 down they kicked into form and won five of the six singles games thanks to Tom Burton, Travis Stapleton, Tom Semper, Brad Martin, and Zach Chapman.
Tom Burton had a 118 check out and Mail Cart’s captain Josh Faulkner had a 106 check out.

The final game of Division Two was a 7-2 win for Green Dragon A against Draymans B.
Green Dragon fired into the game winning all three pairs and then the next four singles thanks to Kris Coolwell, Tim Hester, Jamie Robson and Dan Martin.
Chris Howling and Conor Hughes were the two winners for the Draymans.
Martin fired in a 180 in his win over Shane Thorpe.
In Division One, title challengers Consti A breezed aside Lincoln Arms 9-0, however the result was much closer than it looks.

Higgins had a 180 in his win over Anthony Norman, Newton was on form and had a 17 dart leg in singles and an 18 dart leg in doubles with Barry Smith, these were bettered by Newton and Cooper who had a 14 dart leg in pairs.
On to Division Three and after last week’s semi-final clash in the cup which Consti D won, Consti met Holbeach Services in the league, which in theory would decide who goes on to win the title.
Again, the win went to Consti D who beat Services 6-3.
Consti fired into a great start after winning the first three pairs games, and then to make this better Steve Emery went on first to extend the lead to 4-0.
Chris Chamberlain and Stu Stephens fought back for Services to make it 4-2 but Colin Beckett and Ady Smith won their games to take the victory for the Consti.
The final game of the night was a 7-2 win for Mail Cart B against Green Dragon B.
