A hole lot of fun as groups tee off for charity Tonic Health at Spalding Golf Club

Golfers have clubbed together to raise £1,100 for a South Holland wellbeing charity.

Tonic Health’s first ever golf day has been hailed a huge success by the group that runs numerous local groups and sessions aiming to support a wide array of the local population.

A number of organisations and groups got into the swing of things at Spalding Golf Club last week to raise the fantastic amount.

Michael Morris, chairman of trustees, said: “Many thanks to all our sponsors who supported our first Tonic Health Golf Day.

“It was a great success, with 15 teams competing in glorious weather.

“Subject to final confirmations, we believe we have raised in the region of £1,100 from the day which will all go towards continuing our community support across our projects.

“The feedback has been amazing, and we have approached Spalding Golf Club to apply for a charity day again next year.

“We’d like to thank Spalding Golf Club, all its staff, club members and volunteers who helped make the first charity golf day such a success.

“A special thank you to Lightspeed Broadband who were the official sponsors of the event, Riverside Training for their additional support and to Neil Wilkinson who helped organise the event and ran proceedings on the day itself.”
