A Fleet-ing visit for Santa

Santa dropped in to Fleet last Monday (December 15) gifting sweets and colouring books as he was driven around the village’s streets.

District councillor Paul Barnes organised the event.

“I’m really pleased with how the event went,” he said. “The reindeer were very well behaved and nearly 100 hundred books were distributed.

“I think it has been a long time since Santa has visited Fleet, apart from Christmas Eve, and it was real treat to see the smiles on everyone’s faces. It’s certainly something I would like to see happen again.

“A big thank you must go to Santa for finding the time to visit us and to his ‘driver Elf’ for negotiating his sleigh through some tight spaces.”
